1. Service

Check Plate, operated by SMART AUTOCONSTRUCT SRL, Str. Parcului nr. 1, sc. 1, ap. 12, Beclean, jud. Bistrița-Năsăud, România (CUI 43746129 · J2021000207064), returns the vehicle identification number (VIN) and technical data of a vehicle from its registration plate, using licensed third-party data providers. The service never returns data about the owner or keeper of the vehicle.

2. Permitted use

You may use the service only for a legitimate purpose related to the vehicle, such as checking a car you intend to buy, ordering parts, repair, insurance or managing your own vehicles. You must select that purpose before each search. You must not use the service to identify, locate or track a person, to build a database for resale, or for any unlawful purpose. Automated or bulk querying outside a business pack is not allowed.

3. Price and payment

A single search costs the price shown before payment. The amount is reserved on your card and taken only if a valid VIN is found. If no VIN is found, the reservation is cancelled and you pay nothing. Business packs are paid in advance; one credit is used only for a search where a VIN is found. Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase and are not refundable once used.

4. Right of withdrawal

The report is digital content delivered immediately. By starting a search you request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the report is delivered (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)). Unused business credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase.

5. Accuracy

Data comes from official registers and commercial providers. We do not guarantee that it is complete or free of errors. Always compare the VIN in the report with the VIN on the vehicle and its registration documents. If the VIN in a paid report is demonstrably wrong, contact us within 30 days and we will refund the search.

6. Liability

Our liability for any search is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

7. Contact and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country where SMART AUTOCONSTRUCT SRL is registered, without removing the protection you have under the law of your country of residence.
